Counting My Blessings: Three Things I’m Grateful For

As we journey through life, it’s essential to take a moment to reflect on the things we’re thankful for. Gratitude can be a powerful force, shaping our perspective and bringing positivity into our daily lives. Today, I want to share with you three things that I’m truly grateful for, along with a glimpse into my daily prayer.

  1. My Current Work Setting

For a long time, I was a strong advocate for working from home. I believed that it was the ideal arrangement, especially as a mom. But, in this current season of my life, I’ve come to appreciate the value of having the choice to work remotely when needed while primarily designated to work in the office. This change has reduced my stress levels and allowed me to focus on my job more effectively.

2. Ability to Switch to a New Career

Thanks to God’s grace, I’ve had the opportunity to transition into a new industry. This change has allowed me to utilize the skills I’ve acquired throughout my previous work experiences. I’m passionate about learning, and I’m fortunate to be part of a company that not only encourages but also supports my growth and development. It’s a reminder that life is full of new beginnings, and it’s never too late to pursue your passions and dreams.

3. Having New Friends

It’s incredible how life brings people together in unexpected ways. Someone reached out to me, and it’s funny because I had a desire to connect with women and moms who, like me, were eager to embark on a new career journey. I wanted to offer coaching and assistance in their career development. This connection not only introduced me to a wonderful friend but also aligned me with someone who shares similar aspirations. It’s a testament to the power of reaching out and building new relationships.

**My Daily Prayer**

Before I conclude, I’d like to share a glimpse into my prayer for the day, which helps me navigate life’s challenges and express my gratitude:

“Lord, thank you for all these gifts you have given me. You are worthy of all praise, and without your loving mercy, I know that I would not be able to experience these positive things in life. Lord, I’m sorry that I’m not able to talk to you as often as I want to. I acknowledge that I don’t influence my kids as much as I should in reaching out to you. God, please grant me the wisdom to become a godly parent that my kids and husband deserve. May you open doors for me to serve your purpose. I also pray that no matter what news about work my husband will give me later, you’ll help us, no matter what. Thank you for your grace, Jesus.”

In these words, I find solace, strength, and a reaffirmation of my faith. These moments of prayer allow me to center myself and acknowledge the source of my blessings.

In conclusion, taking the time to reflect on the things we’re grateful for can bring joy and a fresh perspective to our lives. Whether it’s a change in work setting, a new career path, or the gift of new friendships, there’s always something to be thankful for. May we continue to count our blessings and look forward to the new adventures life has in store for us.
